Endothelix, Inc. is a cardiovascular device company focused
on addressing the following two problems in a cost-effective
manner:
The company’s first product is
VENDYS®, a non-invasive, inexpensive, and easy to
use vascular function test that aims to help physicians more
accurately assess and monitor their patients’ cardiovascular
health and use appropriate therapies for the prevention and
treatment of heart disease and stroke.
The company originated in the Texas Medical Center-Houston
from a collaborative project between the Texas Heart
Institute and The University of Texas Health Science Center
at Houston. Endothelix received a $1 million award from the
Texas Emerging Technology Fund to develop the VENDYS®
technology.
Endothelix has received FDA clearance for VENDYS®
and is currently marketing the device to physicians and
researchers.
The company has a pipeline of innovative products that will
enable cardiovascular screening and monitoring, both in the
doctor’s office as well as at home.
